Thrive Upper Murray (ThriveUM) is a community group which formed in 2021 as a result of widespread community distress along with concerns regarding the rising local suicide figures.

Residents from all over the Upper Murray are welcomed to join & interact with Thrive so that we can support our community - more hands makes lighter work.

Our Region Coverage

Our aim

Our main aim is suicide prevention and supporting people to live full contributing lives in the Upper Murray and recognising that multiple strategies saves lives.

Our broader goal is to increase resilience, engagement, ownership and belonging of the entire community by bringing events, activities and education to the area.

Thrive are working continuously toward building resilience in young people in the Upper Murray community

we are always open to new ideas and suggestions to better Thrive as we know one size does not fit all,  if you have an idea or would like to become a part of the Thrive team please contact us.

Thrive acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land that our members live and work on. This includes, but is not limited to, the Wolgal, Dhudhuroa, Djilamathang, Jaitamathang, and Wiradjuri people. We pay respect to their elders past, present, and emerging.
